Professional Experience


Juan Pablo is an Analyst at Monarch Global Strategies working out of Washington, D.C. He analyzes political, economic, and market developments across North America to help our clients mitigate risks and seize opportunities. He has a strong grasp of Mexico’s business landscape and political dynamics, including the intricacies of the U.S.-Mexico relationship.

Before joining Monarch, Juan Pablo interned at PIT Policy Lab, where he crafted deliverables to promote the inclusive and ethical use of AI-based fraud prevention tools at Mastercard. He also played a pivotal role in organizing a workshop with Mastercard executives to contextualize policy recommendations and facilitated 19 interviews with members of Mastercard’s Global Policy and Product teams.

Juan Pablo graduated with honors as a Dean’s Scholar from the World Bachelor in Business program, a global triple-degree partnership between the University of Southern California, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Bocconi University. Through this unique undergraduate program, he earned three STEM-certified degrees while studying across three countries on three continents. His undergraduate thesis examined the impact of nearshoring on sustainable and socio-economic development in Mexico.

Born in Mexico, Juan Pablo has lived in Portugal, France, Brazil, Switzerland, and Angola, experiences that have enriched his global perspective and adaptability. He is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French; has intermediate proficiency in Italian; and possesses elementary skills in Mandarin Chinese and German.
